About IQOS

IQOS is a brand with a big vision: to replace every cigarette for all adult smokers who would otherwise continue to smoke.

Objectives

Rework the purchase flow to increase conversion and re-purchase rates. As well as creating a component to display a gamified informative section for local markets

Increase conversion rates

The biggest drop off on the current website was on the account and billing pages. Reworking the checkout and register flows were a priority

Creating an engaging informative section for local markets

Markets were limited with access to the website since it is managed by PMI global. An engaging solution had to be implemented where all local content would be condensed to a single section.

Target Audience

This project will mainly target Smokers that are looking for combustable cigaret alternatives and ultimately make a purchase.
And engage with IQOS users to get them to do recurring purchases

Smokers

Adults 18 years or older that are looking to transition from combustable cigarettes. They are typically like to get informed online and have a preference for using e-commerce

The IQOS User

A User that generally purchased their IQOS device, looking to customize it or how to better use it.

Straight forward Signup

The biggest drop off of users during the checkout process was at the sign up stage, as it was too long and cumbersome. We reduced the process to 2 steps, while only capturing the necessary information

Complete Purchase Journey

We simplified the purchase journey by adding a top slider to easily select the category, we added a re-order section for repetitive items such as heets. We overhauled the PDP by sticking the color and add to bag buttons at the bottom for easy access

Configurator

Most users like to customize their device and make it unique to them. By creating a configurator we were encouraging the users to build the devices they wanted from the ground up. From a business perspective this would increase the purchase the sale of accessories
